A SNEAK PEAK AT THE OLYMPUS BIG SHOOT EXPERIENCE – THE OM-D E-M5 MARK II COMES UP TRUMPS AT HISTORIC CROXTETH HALL!

I’m writing this from my hotel room at the Hilton Metropole, as I’m spending the rest of the week and the weekend in London for the SWPP Trade Show and Convention.

We’re only one day in and it’s already been a fantastic event, as Angela Adams – one of my Mentor Me On Steroids trainees – has gained a Fellowship, the highest qualification by submission in the photographic industry! I’m enormously proud of her accomplishment and the development she’s made in her photographic journey.

Over the next few days I’m going to be knee-deep in judging panels, giving live demonstrations on the Olympus stand and, with a little bit of luck, committing a few “random acts of photography”. Which means I won’t have time to do a full write-up of last weekend’s amazing BIG Shoot Experience at the magnificent Croxteth Hall in Liverpool!

It really is one of the most spectacular venues I’ve ever had the pleasure to work in, and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the service we received. We were made to feel absolutely at home, we received a great tour of the place (including the balcony where Winston Churchill stood and the room where Queen Vitoria stayed!) and to have the freedom to walk and shoot beyond the velvet ropes was an absolute privilege.

If you’re looking for a great photographic venue, particularly for a big special occasion like a wedding, I really can’t recommend it highly enough… and hopefully a sneak peek at some of my bridal images will attest to that!

Look out for a full magazine write-up and some behind-the-scenes “how it was done” videos soon, but for the meantime I hope you enjoy the first few images. There are loads more to come, but I enjoyed shooting these so much that I couldn’t wait to share a couple with you!

All the best, and please do pop by the SWPP and say hello if you’re in town!

D
