I am happy to be able to include the thoughts of another one of our MMOS delegates (Mentor Me on Steroids) . Which will hopefully give someone else’s insight to what Damian is actually like.

Next up is Jocelyn Conway who attained her Associateship in January with the SWPP. Heres what Jocelyn said when we put the title of ‘Why the Big Dog is like a loyal friend and not a Pit Bull’
I had seen Damian giving the odd talks at various events over the years… like the SWPP mini conventions and focus on imaging…
To me walking past he just looked like all the other people up there on the stage… talking away….. I didn’t really listen to anything he was saying at the time….. just heard a few world here and there.
I was introduced to him by a mutual friend.. and every now and then over the years Id stop… with my friend… to have a natter with him and Lesley…
It was only seeing the Baby Whisperer workshop advertised that I thought I would go on one of his study days….
well…… I haven’t looked back since… that was 2 years ago!…
That day was great… I learned a lot about lighting babies and posing them… although I had been posing them ok before it was good to get confirmation that I was doing ok… but the lighting side was revolutionary to my business…
at the end of that course, I got talking to Damian and Lesley and the subject of mentoring cropped up…. it seems like a big flash light went off in my head ….. This was what was missing for me and my business…. I had been going around from trainer to trainer looking for answers… there was no consistency…
a couple of weeks later I attended my very first Mentor Me on Steroids… the introductory session… well what can I say… I met an bunch of lovely people in the group and just talking with them and Damian sent my head a spinning… with ideas and plans… Damian put us all at ease with his usual wit and bit of fun…. but learning all the time… there was no question of carrying on…. i needed to know what Damian could teach me! I had a massive thirst for knowledge and to push my business forward!
that was in April 2012… 3 months later I opened my first studio…. Im still here too lol….
It hasn’t been easy over the past 2 years…. we meet up every 2 months, Damian critiques our work and we always learn something new… every time….
Damian will tell you the truth… If your not up to scratch or haven’t done your home work…. yes we get homework…. then he will tell you…
He is completely honest when teaching too… won’t hide anything and tells it as it is… other trainers I know haven’t been so honest…. his integrity and honesty and caring is second to none
now 2 years in I have gained my Associate qualification with the SWPP Im submitting images for judging for my Craftsman qualification with the Guild of Photographer and hoping to get my A with the NPS soon too…
My work has improved ten fold… if not more…. and I now have the honour and pleasure of working with Damian and the team as one of his Baby Whisperers …. more adventures yet to come……
I for one can’t wait… Im so excited…..
People have told me they would love to train with Damian but its too expensive…… some of those people are out of business now!..
It is worth every penny …. and the blood sweat and tears….
Bring on the rest I can’t wait to learn more…..
I am proud and honoured to be part of all of this and Damian now is a good friend as well as my Mentor…
and the Team he has around him continue to astound me with their knowledge and willingness to share…
