If anybody has ever bothered to ask me which is my favourite Olympus camera I’m certain they have all be surprised by my reply. Without doubt my favourite Oly to use is the Pen F, I can give you ALL the technical reasons why its a superlative tool but for me this camera has a certain “Something” that I can’t describe that MAKES me want to use it.
Maybe its because it is retro, has dials and is a simple rangefinder, the style I coveted when I was at art school. Yes maybe thats it.
As I write I’m thinking and yes even my medium format is the super sexy Fuji GFX-R and yes once again in the rangefinder style.
My wife @Lesley McGillicuddy is a BIG fan of her Fuji XT-3 for her video work so maybe all these things conspired and long story short I took a Fuji XPro 3 with me on my recent stint at the historic RAC rally.
Its a very tactile little beast and I have to say it has impressed me. The GIF here is 35 frames. It locked on focus and stayed there as long as I wanted it to, you can see its my panning technique that needs work on! Lol
Any way I’m humbled by the effort that the team running car 38 put in and I want to share that with you. I’ll be honest it broke me physically but I’m so fekkin stubborn I carried on and I’ve LOADS of images to share with you. Why am I laying myself bare here well its simple car “38” is piloted by a fellow amputee, I have NO IDEA how he does it but he does. There will be more shared on his page against all the odds can I ask you to look out for it and give it a like if you would.
MUXH more to come guys, please watch out.
Nice to see how well you and the camera coped Damian. X
