The blog has sadly been neglected as of late… LOTS going on and regrettably lots of it without wifi / internet access.
We have literally just done a two week roadshow where there was no point in getting the advert out to tell you all about it as the places were pre booked and sold out before we announced the event publicly – having a priority notification list or being booked by organisations direct isn’t necessarily a good thing for everybody!
Now because I like to at least try and be nice and our next Olympus BIG shoot experience was going the same way I have felt compelled to squeeze in an additional day, a day that will be advertised out to all at once and will be booked on a first come first served basis.

Let me explain a little about the BIG shoot experience, its basically a little like our “secret” Olympus Shoot Club but open to all…
For over a year, the Team and I – have held “Shoot Club” events for photographers under our tutelage. These sessions, held at locations as lavish as the stately home used for Wayne Manor in the Dark Knight movie trilogy, give my students the opportunity to participate in a professional photoshoot using premium (and occasionally pre-release) McGillicuddy and Olympus equipment.
With Shoot Club having proved such a success, we are taking the concept to the next level and opening the doors to other keen photographers with “The Big Shoot Experience” – the chance to be involved in something crazy, cool and conceptual on a commercial scale, from concept through to creation.

On Saturday 12th of July a strictly limited number of places will be available for the first ever Big Shoot Experience at a breathtaking location in Staffordshire. You will get to sample, first hand, what it’s like to work on a shoot with a big budget and big ideas, in a high level professional environment with Damian’s handpicked team of models, makeup artist, assistants and high end equipment – and from conception right through to realisation, you’ll be able to pick the brains and get top tips from the world’s only Grand Master Bar photographer.

PLEASE NOTE: Although an Olympus sponsored workshop this event is camera agnostic and we welcome photographers using all types of equipment. The Big Shoot Experience is in no way brand specific and there is absolutely no sales patter towards any make or manufacturer although if you wish you can request to shoot on the latest Olympus Camera equipment, so don’t forget your own SD card if you want to take the images home.
This is purely about the art of imagery; as I like to say “It’s just about getting out there and taking photographs.”
